This may only resonate with Sara, Renata, Leslie and those of you who pay attention to rugby but I want to boast! (Like my title Sara?)
But seriously, my cousin who grew up 10 minutes down the road got selected for the NZ Sevens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_sevens) team! It's not quite as big as the All Blacks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_blacks) but still, it's a big deal!
Mum and I were watching the news last night and saw him in a group of them training but then today on the news they showed him scoring a try and then the coach goes on to talk about how he's one of the great "young ones" coming through. It was really funny when we watched highlights of the two games they had today because when they showed his try they went on to say that he was from Reporoa (YAY!) and that it's good to see people from the back and beyond representing their country. THEN they said what he studied and wanted to do in the future etc.
Our whole family is really proud of him!
